Twelfth Day are a Scottish folk duo, based in the Central Belt. 'Superwoman' features on their album 'Face to Face'. From the words of the band:

"Superwoman celebrates the everyday, often unnoticed acts of heroinism – from a mother fighting for the rights of her disabled son, to teenagers standing up for what’s right at school. It is inspired by women and girls of all backgrounds and ages who have acted like super heroes in their own ways.  We want to celebrate all of them and thank them for fighting, being brave and carrying on. The pregnant trapeze artist in the video embodies all the superwomen out there!”

The video premiered on Folk Radio in October 2019.

Filming

The performance section was shot at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith, Edinburgh, and the trapeze sequences were filmed Dancebase in the Grassmarket, Edinburgh.
